Commitment to the environment – ensuring quality of life and protecting the landscape
SNCF Réseau has put considerable effort into analysing and dealing with the effects on the areas impacted by this project. To protect the quality of life of the neighbouring residents and the landscape as much as possible, several actions have been taken to reduce the impact of the route on agricultural land and to blend it into the landscape.
SNCF Réseau is especially committed to the protection of biodiversity, water resources and landscape through the application of protective measures.
Finally, SNCF Réseau is taking appropriate action against natural hazards (e.g. floods, falling rocks) by ensuring the safety of the worksites and railway network.
